How To Copy Mathematical Equations From Pdf
Use InftyReader to Copy and Paste as Math/Text on Microsoft Word document
Using InftyReader Ver. 3.1, you can recognize images on clip board and paste the result onto Microsoft Word document. The images on clipboard should be of high resolution, such as 400/600DPI. Below is a recommended way to "copy" from PDF using "Snap shot" of Adobe Reader and paste the recognition result as math/text on Word.
Minimum Requirements:

Adobe Reader of version 10 or newer.

Microsoft Word 2010 or newer
Adobe Reader Settings:

Beneath the "Edit" menu select "Preferences."

Select the "General" category. Next, click the Checkbox in front of "Use fixed resolution for Snapshot tool images:" Next, set "pixels/inch to 400. Then click "OK."
Take snapshot (Copy) from PDF on Adobe Reader:

Download and open the following file using Adobe Reader:
1-Math1A.Berkeley.pdf -
Notice that the words "Adobe Reader" appear by themselves. If, when you open your own file, you see: (SECURED) - Adobe Reader, it means that your PDF file is protected and you will not be able to copy and paste from it. You will need to try another file.

Scroll to page 24. You will see the following limits to evaluate:

From beneath the Edit Menu, select "Take a snapshot"

Select an area by mouse dragging. You will then see a message appear stating, "The selected area has been copied." This means that the image of the selected area of your PDF file has been copied to the "Clip Board" of Windows at 400DPI.

Next, open and switch to Microfoft Word. Click your Right Mouse Button and select "Paste as Math and Text."
